First things first

Right, so i have like, soooo much to write, but this post completely depends on my mood (and how fast my mom can make and eat lunch, because after we're done, we'll be whooshing away to some god damn exhibition, probably at Taj Krishna, and buy up all the designer wear =P nah i'm kidding-- my mom's a picky shopper. At the most I might get 2 new clothes.*snort* and she'll get 4 =P)

Well anyways, exams are done today, and i supposedly have holidays, but we have the phase test on the 3rd, so..

I AM SO FREAKIN IRRITATED WITH THIS EVIL SCHOOL JUST WHERE THE HELL DID THEY COME FROM AND WHY?? ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

As you can see, I'm currently not in the best of moods. I'm also expressing a desire to 'throw something at something' and the vagueness of the idea is quite disturbing.

Haha so yesterday was the physics test and two gorilla-sized seniors sat near me-- one in front, one next to me-- and after bullying another guy to get up and move, they started off about the previous days exam: 'how'd you do rey?' 'okay only.... *smirks*how many margins did you draw bey?' '*puffs up* i drew 2!' 'I drew 3 margins rey!!!'

At this point, I generally would have turned away and smiled. For some random reason, as random as gummy bears (lol ank! ;) ), I burst out laughing right there!!! I made it so obvious that I had been listening! Haha i freaked the two guys out so bad....They just shut up for the rest of the test and let me write in peace. =D

And then that day we had to stay back to fill in IPE forms. And lo and behold (lol ank again!) Gemini appeared! Well obviously, he was the admin for the thing, because he turned out to be the guy who collected the photos and forms. I didn't recognize him at first, and was hella confused --Is he Perv or Gemini?-- and finally, he said 'aaah!' LOL LOL I knew it had to be Gemini from the way he said it =P

Now, how does he look? He looks nothing like the dumbass he sounds like. He's tall and looks like a young grandpa. And his face is as unremarkable as he is. Jeez, I can't even describe him. He looks so plain, so normal, so cliched. And as usual, so गवार. LOL there's Hindi on blogger! I clicked on it by accident!! Who even thought of putting such a useless language on blogger?? ROTFLOL there's even Telugu!! LOL adhe mari! i mean, అదే మరి!

Well, back from the exhibition. Bought nothing for myself-- neither did my mom =P we bought a lot for my aunt and cousins (who asked us to send stuff to Dallas when people came their way) but it was still fun, in a different way.... It's always interesting to get out and observe people, you know. So amusing. Most people are so easy to read-- like a open book. They really need to learn how to control their emotions -- they come across as very silly sometimes. And gosh! The way they carry themselves! (I know this is almost crossing the line of sneering, but I'll let this one go) Head to toe in designer wear, yet not a drop of confidence! In the end, the effect is dramatic-- they turn up looking all decent and posh (lol ank again) yet they sort of shrink into themselves and act all weird. Sometimes they try to pose, try not to overdo it, try to act like bigger people than they really are, try to conceal their lack of knowledge.....really, all it takes is a bit o'swagga. Confidence, it's called. Even if you don't know a thing, if you turn up with your head held high and a stoic silence (instead of meaningless babble about stuff you don't know that makes you look stupid), you'd earn some respect from the people present. It's true that there are always people in the world who know more than you, and you can't change that, so why make it obvious?Silence. Respect. Professionalism. Attitude. The way you carry yourself-- damn, it's so important!

Jeez....now this turned out to be a bit preachy. Moving on...

As I was saying, the exhibition was interesting because I could back to playing my old fave game of observing people. Humans are unintentionally interesting....I'll exhaust this topic another day =P

Also, for the first time, I was assertive enough to ask my mom for something instead of her always asking me if I wanted something. Heh-- no result-- we were too lazy to go all the way back to the same shop and buy what I wanted (a pretty little finger ring), and I think Mom had crossed her little mental barrier that tells her she's shopped too much-- which she did, by the way =P

And hell, she looks through everything so fast! She has like The Eye for those things.

I didn't get The Eye. Nor did I get her 20-20 vision.

On the other hand, I didn't get her forgetfulness. And (I have to say this) her atrocious sense of direction.=P

Well we came back home, only to see my right eye turning red again. My mom called the eye doc -- who had given me new trial lenses, which had been working out too well the last 3 days-- and he was like, er....they're the daily disposable type!!

That was news to me. Damn. Now I have to wait for another 4 days to use my new non-allergy-causing contacts. *groan*

And hahaha! That reminds me of this new Telugu song I heard on the radio while going to Himalaya Book World. It's based on--get this -- Allegra. Allegra!! Me and and my brother were ROTFLOLing in the car!!! It goes alle-alle-alle-gra-gra-graaa or something like that and I cant believe something as stupid as that exists and someone as stupid as that became a lyricist and someone as stupid as that became a music director and someone as stupid as THAT became a director!!! OMG OMG OMG ROTFLMAO!!!

Well, at Himalaya Book World, we bought the book's on my brother's reading list for the vacation, and then I roamed around the non-fiction areas aimlessly and turned into the next aisle. I was spoilt for choice-I finally narrowed it down to A Beautiful Mind and The Story of My Life (Helen Keller duh). Then I remembered Kaiser telling me about the new book he's reading, and also Dan Brown's new book Nikki told me to look out for (heh--look out for? It was all over the place!) and I was like....aw man!! I mean, I had enough money for all of them (I had to pick up my new contacts on the way but I didn't 'coz the eye doc asked me to come after 4 days), but I didn't know what my mom would say if I spent everything, and most importantly I didn't want to be reckless just because I had the cash. And then my brother informed me that my cousin sis had the Dan Brown book, and she was reading it all day long when he went for a 2-day sleepover. So obviously I could borrow it from her anytime-- we're always lending books to each other. And I couldn't find Kaiser's book anyways, so....

Then I went through the customary drool-session over the art supplies--though I've never bought them-- and headed to the counter when my brother -- bless him, my book-spotter -- said, 'Look Monica, there's a book about Jinnah....' Lol it was Kaiser's book and I was all hesitant again about buying it until my brother pulled me out of the shop saying, 'Look it's dark already! We're getting late!' So that's that. And I'm gonna borrow that book from Kaiser after he's done with it.. and after I'm done with my books =P Does it help if I say 'Please?'

On the way home we spotted a new cafe-- actually, a signpost that led to it -- in Banjara Hills. That set us off again, because, apparently, it's called 'Bla....Blah'. I'm not kidding!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL doesn't even cover it!!! And it's tagline goes--'Sip and Gossip'. Oh yeah. Real slick. =P

And we came back home, so I went online and met He Who Is Seldom Online on Facebook (quite the opposite, actually) (lol ank AGAIN), who I'm calling Hwiso. If you can't figure that one out, stop reading my blog. So Hwiso was like--'Do you have a male pug?' and I was like, 'Yeah...don't you have a female one?' to which he said 'yes' and smiled his face off. Then he asked how old mine was (I said almost 3 months) .....and he asked me 'When are you planning to get it mated??'

I was like 0.0 !!! ROTFLOL

***

Hmm, that was yesterday-- I had to eat dinner and then I got caught up in 'The Story of My Life'-- I finished it the same night. I'll appreciate it in another post..

Today was like, the first good hair day in like, weeks(Mom, I told you Dove is better than Nexxus!!), and I finally managed to do something with it instead of that boring ponytail I've been wearing to school. Well, it's not really my fault--at 6 in the morning, I can't think of anything except 'Rubber Band. Comb. Bag. Downstairs. Breakfast.' Hence the ponytail every morning =P

We went to this temple today. It's, in a way, my favorite temple, for reasons the typing of which invoke my laziness.=P

It was more crowded than usual, today being some special day, and we were waiting in hot lines reminiscent of Tirupati, and when we reached a certain hot-stone-floor area, some foot-hopping ensued.

My mom thinks I should start studying now, but with Oreo sleeping on my lap, the Internet in front of me, the AC on full blast, and half the day wasted anyways, I can't see why I shouldn't continue =P

Last link in the chain : Speaking of Phase tests, I was chatting with an old schoolmate whose dramatic expressions and excessive use of punctuation make me LOL. (ank- he likes Paneer ;) )He's in another Fiitjee centre, and apparently, super-genius of Chirec, Arkopal's there too (with our super-nerd Krovidi LOL ank!). And, he's topped every test there till now. But the most astonishing fact this guy told me? In the last Phase test, Arko scored a 200. The second ranker was 70 marks away. 0.0

And ank, are you happy I mentioned you at least a zillion times? And LOL, no one gets our old inside jokes =P

yeah that was funny. you know what, i'm gonna rely on you to fill me in with the latest fiitjee news. love how you present them =)

sure, i'll lend you that book once i'm done, although Nikki mentioned something about being in the cue; so you guys can fight over me (XD) and the winner gets the book :P XD

it's seriously a good book, though; it's a professional account of the history of things around jinnah's time without making it seem jinnah-centric, although he's invariably, obviously related to what he's saying. it's not the obsessed-with-jinnah kind of thing that the media made it seem like; it was suitably dispassionate. and i don't have any prejudices that would ruin the read, so yeah. :)

Nicky Eira said...

Haha thanks =)
Oh sure-- me and Nikita will tear each other's hair out fighting over you =P =P
Hmm. Okay-- looking forward to reading it =)
And dan brown's book too-- sindhuri's already done with it *grumble* it's my cousin sister's birthday tomorrow, so I'll be able to pick it up in the evening...yay!
